Renata B. Kowalczyk serves as Chief Executive Officer of Wilmington Alliance. In August 2019, two influential organizations driving revitalization, economic growth and future opportunities for the city – Wilmington Leaders Alliance (WLA) and Wilmington Renaissance Corporation (WRC) – created the Wilmington Alliance to make an even greater impact on Delaware’s largest city. The Wilmington Alliance was formed to advance our City through intentional strategic collaborations with a culture that is both inclusive and innovative. The Alliance is a civically led, corporately inspired, and community focused organization.
Prior to her current position heading the Alliance, Ms. Kowalczyk’s career included leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase and Merrill Lynch. She also worked as a business consultant for startups and small businesses and as an “angel investor” for women-owned businesses.
Ms. Kowalczyk is a graduate of Baruch College and Columbia University where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees respectively, both in business administration, and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Executive Program in Strategy for Social Impact.
Originally from Poland, Ms. Kowalczyk lived in NYC, DC and the greater Seattle area before moving to Wilmington four years ago. A city resident, Ms. Kowalczyk enjoys the cultural and outdoor amenities, and civic activities that the city offers. She is a member of the Forum of Executive Women, the Rotary Club of Wilmington and a Board member of The Rodney Square Conservancy. She is also a founder with Fund for Women.
