Gail is currently wearing two hats in Delaware's entrepreneurial ecosystem. She currently serves as an Associate Director at UD Horn Entrepreneurship where she is developing a new Women's Entrepreneurship initiative. She is also serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Delaware Innovation Space where her extensive background in operating and investing assists the hard-science startups in residence.
Her background includes being employee #23 of venture capital industry disruptor of the Alumni Ventures Group, she was the Founding Managing Partner of Chestnut Street Ventures, the fund for Penn alumni and the venture funds focused on Women and Social Impact for which she raised nearly $20MM and invested in over 75 companies across all sectors and stages.
In industry, her last executive role was COO of The Bancorp Bank, (NASDAQ: TBBK) Earlier she held executive roles in Operations and Technology at Capital One, PNC, and Chase. In addition, Gail headed the Payments Studies Group at the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank and served as Board Member and Risk Committee Chair at both The Reserve Trust, Denver, Co.; a QED Partners portfolio company and Kompanion Bank, one of Central Asia’s largest microfinance institutions.
Gail earned her B.S. in Economics majoring in finance and statistics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
